In non communicating hydrocephalus there exists an obstruction to the passage of CSF from the ventricular system into the subarachnoid space. Hydrocephalus may occur in association with loculated collections of CSF. The ventricular system may become trabeculated and encysted following germinal matrix haemorrhage or infection. Suprasellar arachnoid cyst treated by endoscope in Neurosurgical Hospital- Baghdad
Surprasellar arachnoid cysts, which cause hydrocephalus by obstructing the foramina of Monro, can be marsupialized to the ventricular system endoscopically.
